Kory DeAngelo, MS RDN
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Training, Experience and Philosophy
I earned my undergraduate degree from Penn State University and completed my graduate training in nutrition at Bastyr University, where I later served as an Associate Professor and Director of Bastyr's MSN-DPD graduate nutrition program. My professional experience has included nutrition counseling, teaching, therapeutic culinary practice, and program leadership, all centered on helping people integrate nutrition into their lives in practical, meaningful, and sustainable ways. I believe that nutrition can support health without becoming overly restrictive, complicated, or stressful.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach healthy cooking classes, lead educational programs for both community members and healthcare professionals, and serve as Chair of Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine (DIFM). I was honored to receive the DIFM Excellence in Practice Award in recognition of my contributions to integrative nutrition.

Alongside my work as a dietitian, I have spent more than a decade studying and practicing shamanic healing and other mind-body approaches. This ongoing learning has expanded my understanding of well-being and reinforced my appreciation for the many dimensions of healing, including self-awareness, connection, meaning, and our relationship with the natural world.
